Welcome aboard, Brian! Ah, yes -- Christ the Eternal Tao is a book I love, and I think its mindset has really shaped me. Moreso, though, I've been intrigued by the early form of Christianity the T'ang dynasty called The Luminous Religion of the West (long since totally eradicated). Some of those texts which transposed early Orthodoxy into a Buddhist-Taoist register were super cool -- you know, calling the apostles "Dharma Kings" and stuff like that...
This seems like an interesting project. Is the goal to do the whole Psalter this way?
"Re-planted" is an interesting choice. Reflecting, perhaps, our current state of uprootedness, and that finding the way of righteousness is, at this point, a matter of re-rooting?
God willing, I have high hopes of going all the way through the psalter -- and basically building a new lexical palette to draw from for future work. Believe it or not, "re-planted" is basically literal; the Hebrew word could also be translated "transplanted." I think the suggestion is of an invitation to move oneself from the shade of the lost, to the gurgling brooks of Torah -- something like that.
Do all of them, so that I can finally have a Psalter that I'm happy with.
